As an Assistant Manager, you'll step into a role focused on project management and client relationships. You'll manage small to medium-sized projects, liaise directly with clients to address their needs, and provide solutions to complex accounting challenges. This role also includes reviewing work for accuracy and compliance, and mentoring junior staff members to foster their professional development.

About the Financial Reporting Advisory Services (FRAS) Service Line
Where precision meets passion! Our GT UAE FRAS team provides essential advisory services in financial accounting, focusing on complex reporting standards, transaction support, and optimizing financial controls. Joining our team means being part of a dynamic group that empowers companies to achieve transparency, compliance, and excellence in financial reporting. The FRAS team sits within our Assurance service line and works closely with a range of clients across different industry sectors.
As an Assistant Manager some of your responsibilities will include:
- Application of accounting standards research around IFRS, financial process review, accounting framework transition, comparison of accounting practices in different companies, development and provision of tailored training and improvement of quality of financial reporting Monitor the team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed
- Detailed knowledge around GAAP conversions, change in accounting standards, accounting complexity
- Consulting with clients on complex accounting issues
- Coach and develop people by sharing knowledge with team members and helping team members attain experiences that cultivate technical competencies
- Manage projects and engagements profitably by leading the team to perform efficiently
- Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and new technical and industry developments
- Utilize technology to develop yourself, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain impeccable relationships with clients.
Skills
Think you've got what it takes to be an Assistant Manager? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:
- 4+ years of experience in Accounting Advisory in a top international consulting firm
- Strong IFRS and GAAPs knowledge
- ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- Track record of providing accounting input for complex IFRS accounting matters
- Effective time management and commitment to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisation, planning and project management abilities
- Ability to lead a diverse team and build effective client relationships
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Strong written and spoken English; Arabic speaking is advantageous
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites
