About the Indirect Tax Service Line
The Indirect Tax service line at Grant Thornton UAE provides comprehensive advisory and compliance services related to VAT, excise tax, and customs duties. The team helps clients navigate complex tax regulations, ensuring efficient tax planning, risk management, and compliance with local and international tax laws. We proactively assist clients to be compliant and VAT efficient and represent their interests to resolve complex or contentious matters.
As a Consultant some of your responsibilities will include:
- Dive into tax transactions, support audits, and ensure everything adds up perfectly
- Keep up with the latest tax laws and implement cutting-edge strategies
- Consult and liaise with clients, check schedules, and issue VAT returns with flair
- Research local and offshore legislation, draft insightful reports and identify VAT exposures like a pro
Skills
Think you've got what it takes to be a Consultant? Like the color purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or Tax
- 1+ years of experience in VAT
- Progress towards a relevant accounting/tax qualification is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Strong written and spoken English. Arabic speaking is advantageous
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites
