As a Senior Accountant some of your responsibilities will include:
- Improving and managing the expenses and payable cycle
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring timely settlements and reconciliations
- Supporting in management reporting, performance analysis, forecasting and planning
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including accounting and audit as well as supervising of outsourced financial support
- WHT/VAT compliance (in cooperation with local advisors and internal tax team)
- Corporate governance, implementation of compliance with group policies
- Manage, develop and support of the local finance team to foster growth and enhance performance
Skills

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Big Four firm and/or in management accounting within a large global organization in the Middle East. Proven expertise in General Ledger and Subledger operations, VAT calculations, budgeting, and financial modelling
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, and/or ACCA is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and accounting standards (IFRS is mandatory)
- Good knowledge of audit and tax
- Excellent written communication skills in English, proficiency in Arabic is advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Understanding of Modern Accounting software systems and workflow, ideally Microsoft D365 (although SAP/Oracle are welcomed)
- Self-driven, highly motivated team player who understands the implications of collaborating in a truly global environment
- Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently with a hands on approach when needed
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail – even under tight deadlines
- Comfortable navigating both operational tasks and strategic discussions with consultants
