About the Direct Tax Service Line

The Direct Tax service line at Grant Thornton UAE provides strategic tax advisory, compliance, and risk management services related to corporate tax, transfer pricing, and international tax matters. Our team helps businesses navigate complex tax landscapes, ensuring compliance while optimizing tax efficiency. We proactively support clients in managing tax risks, structuring cross-border transactions, and resolving complex tax challenges.

As a Senior Consultant/ Assistant Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients in developing Transfer Pricing policies and strategies tailored to their specific needs and aligned with industry practice
• Supporting in the preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation: Master File, Local File and CbCR (Country-by-Country-reporting) and annual disclosure forms in line with UAE Transfer Pricing regulation 
• Assisting with transfer pricing functional and economic analysis, including comparability and benchmarking studies for different types of transactions 
• Assisting on projects relating to supply chain and restructuring projects, including helping in designing and implementing tax effective operative models for businesses, supporting clients in Advanced Pricing Agreements procedures
• Supporting team to maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensuring satisfaction, making sure deadlines are met, and leading change efforts effectively
• Contributing to proposal development and internal knowledge initiative, staying up-to-date with transfer pricing regulations and developments
• Coaching junior team members

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Master's degree or professional qualification (CA, CPA, CFA, ACCA) is a plus
• 4+ years of related work experience in Transfer Pricing
• Strong understanding of international tax principles and Transfer Pricing regulations, including the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, BEPS Action plans and Middle East Transfer Pricing Regulation 
• Excellent technical, analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong written and spoken English. Arabic speaking is advantageous
• Displaying initiative to solve routine problems and analyzing data from a variety of different sources
• Proficient in using Microsoft packages and technology
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet the deadlines
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and ability to cooperate across different functions/teams.
